Turning Faith To Action

I wrote about confidence and faith a few weeks ago.  I wanted to expand on that thought a little and see if we can inspire some action.  Modern thought about faith or belief seems to categorize things as objective or subjective.  Have you ever heard people use phrases like “that’s objective” or “subjectively speaking…”?  We like to think that subjective things are not provable.  Therefore, when we believe in something that hasn’t yet occurred, you are acting on faith.

That’s not how it works.  It’s actually backwards thinking.  People with faith actually believe so strongly in the idea or outcome that they do something about it.  Like when you drop a letter in the mailbox, you just know it’s going to get delivered.  You don’t think about what happens to the letter after it falls into the slot and all the stuff that happens to it and the dozens of people that may handle it before it gets to its destination; you just drop it in the mailbox.  If you thought about all that you may never bring it to the post office! action

The same concept should apply to your business.  You either believe this is going to work or not.  If you are waiting for something good to happen, it probably won’t.  The reason so many people don’t ever see success in online marketing, or any venture for that matter, is because they fail to act.

So how do you do this?  You say, “Randy, I do believe in my business, but…”  Never say that word!  You have to take action.  Get social, make a splash page or a video, buy some advertising.  Invest in your business or it won’t work.  Reward does not come without risk.  It’s just a fact of life.  Faith is an activity.
